At Cornerstone, we are a community who is in process. Our lives are not perfect, but we are actively pursuing a transformative relationship with Jesus that will in turn push us towards fulfilling our vision to make disciples of Jesus Christ who: 

"Love God, Love People, and Serve Both." 


All are welcome here. We welcome your questions, doubts, and even struggles. We strive to be in community together by worshiping Jesus and seeking to grow as followers of Jesus who serve our community and world.

Cornerstone Global Methodist Church exists to make    disciples of Jesus Christ who:

Our vision incorporates both the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.   

   

GREAT COMMANDMENT: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”   Matthew 22:37-39


GREAT COMMISSION: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Matthew 28:18-20


If we are intentional about loving God and loving people, we will make disciples, and it will lead to the transformation of Marysville and the world.  Our hope is that everything we do as a congregation can be traced back to this simple Vision.  Love is the catalyst and platform for being disciples and making disciples.  We pray that you might catch the vision with us that love can be a powerful, attractive and transforming force. After all, “God is love” (1 John 4:16).

Core Values at Cornerstone

We will live lives of scriptural holiness by the power of the Holy Spirit as we:


Worship Passionately,


Love Extravagantly, and


Witness Boldly.


The root of these values lies in the question - What does God value? There are many examples in the Scripture to support each of these values that are important to God, and therefore to us.  These are just some representative Scripture samples:

  • “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” (Mark 12:30)
  • “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Mark 12:31)
  • “And let us consider how to spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” (Hebrews 10:24)
